TRACKDAY 1st NOVEMBER 2008

Track day is back after just a week (but why on earth it feels so long?) Part of it probably because I didn’t ride my bike at all after 26th October track day due to work & family commitment (ehem!). After all, CBR needs a good rest too.
I went to Sepang alone this time. My lovely wife cum official (handphone) photographer has to work and my riding buddy, Naza#3 has to attend his daughter’s graduation day. He’s an old man after all.

Unlike previous track day, not many riders turned up this time, perhaps because most people decides to come on Sunday. The good thing is, we were allowed to join the below 400cc session as there were only a couple of bike during that session. Interestingly, there were a couple of exotic Italian beauties this time around (I’m referring to the bikes, not babes), including the 1098s, 848s and guess what? an RC8!! To me, the star bike of the day was a beautiful and nicely prepped up Ducati 1098 belongs to Major Joshua.

The session went smooth although the red flags went up at least five times due to crashes. I had a couple of rear wheel slides especially at Turn 10 (the scariest one!!) and I blamed worn tire and incorrect tire pressure for that. Of course the biggest culprit was myself being too greedy with the throttle. Hehe. With all that constraint, I was glad to finish my session in one piece although I wasn’t able to ride at my 100%. But there is always next time, rait? Heheh...
